Rewind Therapy (RT).
If you have suffered a traumatic event that has continued to bother and affect you, then Rewind Therapy is a very quick and simple solution.
Rewind Therapy (RT) has become internationally recognised as indispensable in treating PTSD.
Suitable for survivors and witnesses of traumatic events, it usually requires no more than two sessions to bring about closure for single traumas, and the results are enduring.
RT was first introduced into the literature of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder by Dr. David Muss back in 1991; “A new technique for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”. During this study, 19 policemen with PTSD were treated with Rewind Therapy and monitored for two years. All reported being well, returning to work without a single relapse.
The Rewind is different from other imaginal exposure therapies because no details are disclosed to the therapist. Hence the treatment is known as “closure without disclosure”.
The Rewind offers a way of permanently stopping involuntary recall by filing the traumatic event so that it comes under control. It doesn’t matter whether the traumatising event was 4 weeks ago or 40 years ago, RT is proven to be equally effective. You will still have the memory, but only voluntary recall remains.
All clients conduct a self-assessment questionnaire that will show suitability for this type of therapy before the session begins.
